Oh, this is brilliant. A perfect, graphic representation of being close to the "thin space". So good.

educate on the concept of "thin space." i'm not sure what you're talking about.
It's a celtic spiritual concept. Where most in the West have the notion that earth is here, and heaven is far far away somewhere else, they had the idea that there are places where the distance between heaven and earth are incredibly thin. That heaven and earth touch in some spots, if you're keen enough to notice.
The opening in the wall feels like a "thin space" in the context of a very old man. I may not be explaining it well, but it's been a lovely thing to turn around in my head :)
Also just noticed that the broken out wall has the same shape of the graffiti on the far wall... so good :)
